IVA date confirmed for 20/12/2011 Gulp !! I have the help of a mate with a car transporter to help me get the car to Exeter test center.

As you might expect,last minute issues keep cropping up, the latest being a misfire (popping back through carb), at 2500 - 300 revs.. Took a while to sort and turned out to be incorrect main jets in the carbs.

Went up the road for a short run and noticed there was no self centering of the steering.. again took a while to sort but on the advice of others I fitted a pair of caster shims, this fixed the problem.

So getting there , just need to double check the sharp edges , wiring etc, and fit a steering wheel from a 1302 beetle.

Fingers crossed , next weekend is the last chance to finish off.
